ZURICH, (Reuters) – After next year’s annual general meetings, Paul Bulcke from Roche, the Swiss drugmaker, will step down as chairman.

Bulcke has served as a board member of Roche since 2011. He decided to not stand for reelection at next year’s AGM, which will be held March 22, 2019. This is after almost 11 years, Roche said.

The Roche board has proposed Jemilah Mahmood, currently the Special Advisor on Public Health to Malaysia’s prime minister, for election as a new member.
