GUN PURCHASE
Ethan went with his dad four days before the shooting to buy a handgun in a gun store.

McDonalds stated that school officials summoned Crumbleys and directed them to take Ethan to counseling within 48-hours. McDonald said the parents “resisted” taking their son to school. She also stated that they did not search the boy’s backpack or inquire about his gun.
Ethan Crumbley, the son of the Crumbleys, was not present at the meeting. He returned to class with his father and then walked out from a restroom carrying the gun. The gun killed four students, and injured seven others, according to authorities.
