Bahrain central bank plans to offer digital Dinar

DUBAI, (Reuters) – The Central Bank of Bahrain will offer a digital Dinar through a platform for digital payments that will be open 24 hours a day. Sky News Arabia reported this Sunday.

Sky News quoted the central bank saying that it aims to slowly increase financing for small- to medium-sized companies to 20% in the financial portfolios local banks by 2025.
