Artist linked to parents of Michigan school shooter questioned by police -Breaking

(Reuters) – Police arrested a Detroit artist after a manhunt. The parents of a suspected school shooter in Michigan aged 15 were questioned by detectives Monday.

After a two hour interview with Andrzej Siloka, 65, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department stated that he was not taken into custody. They also added that investigators had searched Sikora’s home and confiscated several of his digital devices.

“The question for detectives, is what does Sikora have to do with Detectives?”

“When did he know?” said the sheriff’s office.

Ethan Crumbley (aged 15) was taken into police custody following a shooting at Oxford High School. It took place in suburban Oakland County about 30 miles (48km), northwest of Detroit. In the most violent U.S. school shooting in 2021, he is currently being held on bail without bail.

The attack left four students dead and 7 others, including the teacher, injured.

The U.S. Marshals Service, FBI agents and police joined forces to search for the boy’s parents. After manslaughter accusations against Jennifer Crumbley and James Crumbley were announced by Oakland County prosecutors, the Marshals Service started searching for their parents.

The couple are charged with buying the gun for their son early in Christmas and not realizing that he planned to shoot at high school.

James White, chief of Detroit Police said that Sikora and his wife were found hiding in an east-side commercial building. White claimed they hadn’t broken into the structure, but that someone had allowed them in.

An attorney representing Sikora, Clarence Dass, has said that his client “maintains his innocence throughout this process and is fully cooperating with law enforcement to assist in their investigation.”

Sikora, according to the attorney, contacted police following Crumbleys arrest. He was also present during his interrogation.

James Crumbley, Jennifer Crumbley all pleaded not guilty at an arraignment Saturday to four charges of involuntary killing. They were both ordered detained in lieu of $500,000 bail.

The Crumbleys’ attorney said that the couple was not trying to escape law enforcement, but had intended to surrender to it.
