Investing.com. European stock market are likely to open higher Tuesday thanks to China’s ease in monetary policy, while worries about the Omicron Covid variation’s economic effect decrease.

The contract in Germany was 0.7% lower at 2AM ET (0700 GMT). In France, it rose 0.9% while the contract in Britain rose 0.3%.

This optimistic tone was helped by the People’s Bank of China’s 50-basis point reduction in the reserve requirement ratio, which reduces the cash banks are required to keep in reserve.

This move, the second this year, is aimed at bolstering growth as the world’s second largest economy has lost momentum in recent months. As some of the most important property developers have defaulted on their loans, it will help to ease liquidity.

On Monday, global equities rebounded due to easing concerns about the Omicron variant’s impact after Omicron patients showed only mild symptoms, according to health officials in South Africa and the United States.

A British study also showed that individuals had better immunity when they combined different Covid-19 vaccinations. This may offer some hope for poor countries, which might need to mix different vaccines if there are not enough.

ABB (SIX 🙂 will feature in corporate news after it revealed higher profits and sales targets on Tuesday. ABB expects to profit from increased demand from recovering economies, while also incorporating into emerging trends like decarbonisation.

Turning to economic data, the main release will be the for December, which is expected to show falling confidence in the Eurozone’s most important economy after mobility restrictions were reintroduced to combat the latest Covid surge.

Crude prices rose Tuesday, adding to the previous session’s strong gains as worries over the impact of the omicron Covid variant on global demand eased.

The chance that Iranian exports will return to the international market has also declined after Germany called on Iran Monday to make realistic proposals during talks about its nuclear program. It is clear that a nuke deal remains elusive.

Investors await data on oil supplies from the later in the morning.

U.S. crude oil futures were 1.5% higher at $70.55 per barrel by 2AM ET. The contract rose 1.3%, to $74.06. The gains in both benchmarks were just below 5% Monday.

Also, the price of gold rose 0.2% at $1,783.65/oz while it traded 0.1% lower at 1.1293.
