Chainalysis – Retailers will account for over 80% NFT trade by 2021

Chainalysis says that the vast majority of NFT transactions have been made by retail customers this year. However, institutions and collectors have been pushing the most NFT transactions. Chainalysis reports that over 80% of all NFT transactions had a value less than 10,000 dollars in 2021. According to recent research, they were called “retail”. Retail transactions still account for more than 80% of NFT transactions in any given day in 2021. However, the number of collector-sized transactions increased from 6% to 19% in March to about 19% by October 31st.

This led to an increase in the number of collectors, as the years progressed. Institutional transactions made up less than 1 percent of all transfer activity, but they were responsible for 26% over the course of time. Retail transactions are those that have a value of less than $10,000. Collector transactions, on the other hand, can be valued anywhere between $10,000 to $100,000. The report states that an institution-sized transaction has a value greater than $100,000. Retail accounted for most total transfers. But, NFT dollars-denominated traffic to transfer has seen a significant increase in the number of transactions between collectors, institutions, and individuals since March.

The research revealed that the NFT market was much more retail-driven than the traditional cryptocurrency market, where transactions are a small percentage of total volume. Many factors, including earning opportunities associated with NFTs and cryptocurrency adoption, have influenced the market for crypto until 2021. Coin Telegraph Research’s report reveals that the $17.7 Billion in NFT sales forecasted through 2021 is a record. Chainalysis also reports that at least $26.9 Billion in bitcoin was delivered to ERC-721 (the most well-known standards in NFTs), contracts for 2021.
