BMW secures several million chips per year from INOVA, GlobalFoundries -Breaking

BERLIN (Reuters), – BMW announced Wednesday that it had signed an agreement to supply several millions of semiconductors annually to INOVA Semiconductors, a Munich-based manufacturer of microchips.

BMW released a statement saying that the first deployment of semiconductors will be in BMW iX, and then rolled-out to other models.

BMW also recently signed a deal with Qualcomm (NASDAQ:) https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/qualcomm-diversifying-mobiles-supply-chips-bmw-self-driving-cars-2021-11-16 to use their chips in its driver assistance and self-driving systems.
