Tesla sold 52,859 China-made vehicles in November

BEIJING (Reuters) – U.S. manufacturer of electric vehicles Tesla (NASDAQ) Inc sold 52 859 China-made cars in November. 21127 were exported, said the China Passenger Car Association.

Tesla is producing Model 3 sedans in Shanghai and Model Y sports-utility cars in Shanghai. In October, 54,391 Chinese-made vehicles were sold, with 40,666 of these vehicles exported.

Chinese EV maker Nio (NYSE.) Inc 10.878 cars in the last month. That’s a monthly record. Xpeng(NYSE.:) Inc delivered 15.613 vehicles. Volkswagen AG (OTC) reported that it has sold more than 14,000 ID. series EVs were sold in China during November.

CPCA stated that China saw a 12.5% drop in passenger car sales between November 2011 and November 2012.
