Ukrainian president does not exclude holding referendum on Crimea and Donbass -Breaking

KYIV (Reuters – Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zeleskiy said Friday that he would not rule out holding a referendum about the future of war-torn Ukraine and Crimea, which Russia annexed in 2014.

Zelenskiy, speaking to 1+1 television said that U.S. President Joe Biden called on Thursday and relayed Russian assurances that Moscow wouldn’t cause an escalated situation in Ukraine.

Zelenskiy expressed appreciation for Biden’s participation in attempting to reach peace in Ukraine’s eastern Donbass. However, he stated that he will not rule out having direct talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
