Signet Jewelers Limited These two retailers are leaders in the jewellery market. PANDY is a Danish company that designs, produces, and sells contemporary and hand-finished jewelry. It offers silver and gold as well artificial stones, gems, pearls, cultured diamonds, enamels, glass, leather and other textile products. The company operates 2,690 concept shops, 442 other points of sales, and an eSTORE. SIG, a Bermuda-based company, sells diamond jewelry and watches. It had 2,833 jewellery stores and kiosks as of the 30th January 2021.

Even though there was a drop in retail sales due to the pandemic it enabled jewelry companies to offer their products online and on other e-commerce platforms. Although supply chain and inflation issues impacted production, high demand drove up prices for precious metals. Jewelry was the most popular item in the market lately. Global jewelry sales are expected to increase at 6.5% and hit $238.44 million by 2026.

As investors look to protect themselves against inflation and to diversify their portfolios with precious metals, jewelry stocks have been known to perform well in inflationary times. Both SIG and PANDY will benefit from the tailwinds over the next few months.
