Biden says his administration will do ‘whatever is needed’ to help states reeling from tornadoes

President Joe BidenHis administration said it is available and willing to assist in any way necessary after several victims were killed during a storm and tornado that battered six states on Friday night.
Biden declared Saturday that “The Federal Government will do everything” during a Wilmington press conference.
Biden stated, “I swear you, whatever it is required, whatever it is necessary, the federal government will find a means to supply them.”
Arkansas, Illinois. Kentucky. Missouri. Mississippi. Tennessee were all affected by over 30 tornadoes. Biden stated that FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is currently on the ground in six states to assess damage.

Kentucky has seen at least 70 deaths and this number may rise to over 100. Gov. Andy Beshear stated that he believes the tornado will be the most deadly to hit Kentucky. Western Kentucky is the worst-hit region of Kentucky and more than 180 National Guard soldiers have responded.
Kentucky Emergency Management Director Michael Dossett stated that all state resources were being utilized in an announcement.
The president approved Kentucky’s declaration of emergency earlier that day, but he also said Saturday afternoon that the President is available to review requests for other states.

A spokesperson for Tennessee’s Emergency Management Agency said that at least three deaths were caused by severe weather in Tennessee. According to The New York Times, two people died in Arkansas from severe weather.
Biden declared, “We’re going through it and we’re all going through this together.” “The federal government will not walk away.”
