Air France KLM redeems 500 million euros worth of debts from French state loan -Breaking

PARIS (Reuters), – Air France KLM has repaid 500 million euros (564.8 millions) of an older French state loan. The loan was originally issued in order to assist the airline with its fallout from COVID-19.

Air France-KLM reported that 500 million euro had been redeemed from a bank loan of 4 billion euros guaranteed by France. They also said they had negotiated to prolong the maturity on the loan overall, which was originally due to expire May 6, 2023.

Air France KLM Group is currently discussing further capital strengthening steps, as previously reported. Air France KLM said that such measures might include instruments like the issuance or quasi-equity of equity, depending upon market conditions.
