LONDON — U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed Monday that at least one patient infected with the new omicron variant of Covid-19 has died in the country.
Johnson said that omicron was producing hospitalizations, and that at least one person has died from it. Johnson spoke to reporters during a visit near Paddington in London. according to Sky News.
“So, the notion that the virus is milder than the others I believe it’s a mistake. We need to recognize its rapid pace through the population and not just accept that. We can only do the best we know how to get our boosters. He said.
