France stocks lower at close of trade; CAC 40 down 0.69% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell 0.6% at the Paris close, while it lost 0.66%.

ArcelorMittal SA: (AS:) rose 8.05%, or 2.07 points, to trade at 27,72 by the close. Orange SA (PA) gained 2.16%, or 0.19 points, to close at 9.19. WFD Unibail rodamco NV was also up 1.34% (or 0.78 points) to finish late trade at 58.87.

Eurofins Scientific SE, (PA:) fell 5.31 points or 5.72 point to trade at 101.98 by the closing. Schneider Electric SE, PA: declined 2.5% or 4.26 to close at 162.76. Dassault Systemes SE was also down 2.5% (or 1.32 to 51.55).

ArcelorMittal SA was top performing on the SBF 120, rising 8.05% up to 27.72. Vallourec (PA) which increased 6.13% to settle in 8.740 Aperam SA (AS) gained 3.45% and closed at 44.71

Eurofins Scientific SE, (PA:), which fell 5.31% to 101.98 late trade in Sartorius was the worst performer. Stedim Biotech SA (PA) lost 4.44% and settled at 447.70 Ipsen SA (PA) was at 90.30, down 3.2% from the previous close.

The Paris Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 400% to 215; 85 ended the same.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 52-week high.

The February delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.86%, or 15.40 to $1772.90 per troy ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which fell by 1.89%, or 1.35, to reach $69.94/barrel, while February Brent oil contracted fell by 1.90%, or 1.41, to trade at $72.98/barrel.

EUR/USD fell 0.1% to 1.1272, and EUR/GBP dropped 0.1% to 0.8522.

At 96.440, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.17%.
