White House not surprised some Republicans publicly silent about U.S. Capitol attack -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters] – Jen Psaki, White House press secretary said that although it was sad but not surprising that several Republican legislators warned privately about what happened during the attack at the U.S. Capitol Jan. 6, but remained quiet publicly.

Psaki answered a question on Republican lawmakers’ texting, with Mark Meadows. Meadows was the ex-chief of staff for President Donald Trump and Fox News hosts Jan 6.

Later Tuesday will see the U.S. House of Representatives vote whether Meadows should be charged with criminal contempt of Congress for not cooperating in an investigation by Congress into the Capitol attack.
