Amazon’s AWS hit again, affecting third-party services -Breaking

(Reuters) -Amazon.com Inc announced Wednesday that Amazon Web Services, its cloud service (NASDAQ;) Web Services is having internet connectivity issues in 2 regions of the U.S. West Coast.

AWS (a public cloud provider) supports the online infrastructures many businesses, such as Netflix (NASDAQ:).

AWS’s dashboard revealed that AWS was investigating connectivity issues within the US-West-1 (and US-West-2) regions.

Downdetector.com reported that services such as Netflix, Slack and Amazon’s Ring were all down. It is possible that this outage was widespread.

Downdetector collects status reports and user-submitted mistakes to track outages.

Twitch (Amazon’s live streaming site), also stated that it was facing numerous issues.

Amazon’s cloud services were disrupted for several hours by a major outage last week. This resulted Netflix, Disney+ and Robinhood (NASDAQ) being unavailable, as well as a host of other services, including Amazon’s online shop.
