France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 0.47% -Breaking

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The index rose 0.38% at the Paris close.

Eurofins Scientific SE was the best performer of the session, rising 6.18% (6.30 points), to trade at 110.28 by the closing. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (PA) gained 2.53%, or 39.50 point to close at 1599.50. Veolia Environnement VE SA was up 2.28% (or 0.70 points) to 31.46 late trade.

They were also the session’s worst performers Carrefour SA (PA) dropped 5.35% (0.86 points) to trade at 15.21 by the close. Airbus Group SE, PA:, declined 2.45% to 99.99.

Eurofins Scientific SE and Sartorius were top performers on the SBF 120. Their performance rose by 6.18% to reach 108.28. Stedim Biotech SA, (PA:), which rose 4.38% to settle in at 467.30 Trigano SA (PA.) gained 4.20% and closed at 161.30.

Sopra Steria Group SA, which fell 8.12% to 146.00 late trade in the worst performing stocks, and TechnipFMC PLC which lost 5.77%. They settled at 5.07 Casino Guichard Perrachon SA, (PA:), which fell 5.68% to 22,10. At the closing

Veolia Environnement VE SA’s shares increased to their 5-year peak; an increase of 2.28% (or 0.70) to 31.46.

The implied volatility index of CAC 40 options was at 0% to 18.96, a 52-week high.

The February delivery of Gold Futures was lower by 0.36%, or 6.45, to $1765.85 per troy ounce. In commodities trading, crude oil fell 0.09 or 0.01 to $70.64 per barrel in January, and the February Brent oil contract dropped 0.04 or 0.05 to $73.66 per barrel.

EUR/USD was up 0.2% at 1.1259 and EUR/GBP rose by 0.244% to 0.8522.

At 96.567, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.03%.
