China commerce ministry says firmly opposes latest U.S. restrictions on Chinese firms -Breaking

(Reuters) – China’s Commerce Ministry on Friday stated that it strongly opposed the United States’ decision to place investment and export restrictions on eight Chinese tech firms, and passed a bill banning imports from China’s Xinjiang area.

The ministry stated that China would take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty, security and legitimate rights, and those of Chinese businesses, in a statement.
