White house says could pay double monthly child tax credit payments in February -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – Friday’s White House statement indicated that the White House could double its monthly child credit payment in February if Congress doesn’t approve Democrats’ plan for extending them.

“We have spoken with Treasury and other agencies about making double payments for February. Jen Psaki, White House Press Secretary, stated that the president considers it a top priority once Congress returns.

The U.S. Treasury received the $16 Billion final child credit payment on Wednesday.
