Mandatory Credit: Brad Penner, USA TODAY(Reuters) – The NBA announced Sunday that it would postpone the Brooklyn Nets’ next two games as well as three games for other teams, due to high numbers of staff and players who have enrolled in the NBA’s COVID-19 safety and health protocols.
Due to the new wave of cases, games will be rescheduled for Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, and Cleveland Cavaliers. Since last week, nine NBA games had been postponed.
It has been particularly difficult for the Eastern Conference leaders Nets, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant. They were among nine players who couldn’t suit up because of protocols.
