California governor signs measure to protect warehouse workers By Reuters

(Reuters) – California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed into law a measure expanding protections for warehouse workers, his office said on Wednesday.

The measure’s new provisions are called AB 701. They require that workers be informed about their production quotas. Additionally, they prohibit algorithms from being used to limit basic rights like rest periods and toilet breaks.
