WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The Defense Production Act’s use by the Biden Administration should allow for 200 to 500 million COVID-19 test sales to be made, Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an MSNBC interview Tuesday.

Speaking before President Joe Biden unveiled his new plan for combating COVID-19 in the Omicron variant of COVID-19, the nation’s highest infection disease official also stated that officials are considering a shorter quarantine period to help healthcare workers.
