TeslaThe stock of (NASDAQ:) rose 3.8% on the news that CEO Elon Musk said he’d sold “enough stock”, to achieve his 10% share sale plan. It has now been eclipsed by news that US auto safety regulators opened an official safety investigation into 580,000 vehicles due to the decision of the automaker to permit games to be displayed on its front center touchscreen.

Voya Financial (NYSE:) stock rose 7.7% after the company, which helps with retirement planning, was included in the S&P MidCap 400 Index.

Caterpillar (NYSE:) stock rose 1.7% after Bernstein upgraded its investment stance on the heavy machinery manufacturer to ‘outperform’ from ‘market perform’, saying the market is underestimating its long-term potential.

Apple(NASDAQ:). Stock fell 0.2%, despite Citigroup raising its price target. Moody’s upgraded the iPhone maker’s credit rating to “AAA” after Moody cited its “exceptional liquidity and strong earnings.”

Williams-Sonoma (NYSE:) stock rose 1.4% after Loop Capital lifted its stance on the kitchen retailer to ‘buy’ from ‘hold’, saying the company is a stay-at-home play.

CarMaxStock rose 3.1% on the news that the used-car retailer had posted another quarter with record revenues. The long wait period for new cars was fuelled by lack of chips and kept consumers coming to its showrooms and, increasingly, its website.

Darden Restaurants (NYSE:) stock rose 1.7% after Stifel Financial upgraded its stance on the Olive Garden parent to ‘buy’ from ‘hold’, pointing to last week’s upbeat quarterly earnings.
