Former Greek president Karolos Papoulias dies at 92 -Breaking

REUTERS/Yannis Kolesidis/Pool ATHENS, (Reuters) – Karolos Papoulias was the former Greek president. He served two terms from 2005 to 2015 and died Sunday at the age 92.
Papoulias served as foreign minister between 1985-89, 1993-96 and 1993-96.
Katerina Sakellaropoulou thanked Papoulias, for his contribution to the resistance to Nazi occupation in World War Two and against Greece’s 1967-74 military junta.
Sakellaropoulou released a statement saying that Sakellaropoulou’s participation in anti-dictatorship and national resistance “reflects his devotion to justice and freedom, ideals he stood by throughout his entire life.”
