China stocks also feature in the news, as they allow for overseas listing but are harder to sell. Alibaba (NYSE:), is down 0.6% while Baidu Inc is (NASDAQ:), is down 1 % and JD.com is down 1.4%.
- BridgeBio Pharma (NASDAQ:) shares dived 66% pre-market on newsPhase 3 of the company’s Phase 2 study on acoramidis for the treatment of symptomatic transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (a form of heart failure), did not meet its objectives. Market capitalization lost $4 billion due to the sale.
- Moderna The Nasdaq Pre-Market’s leading Loser is (NASDAQ:) Shares. They are down 3% newsShareholder pressure regarding the price of Moderna’s vaccine, and availability in other countries.
- Godaddy Inc Stocks in (NYSE:) are up 2.6% after Starboard Value took a 6.5% share of the web-domain retailer.
- Airlines After a busy Christmas weekend, many flights were cancelled due to weather and staffing shortages in Covid. After nearly 1000 cancellations Christmas Day, Monday. United Airlines Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:), American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:), Delta Air Lines Inc. (NYSE:), Southwest Airlines Company. Spirit Airlines Inc (NASDAQ) and JetBlue Airways Corp(NASDAQ:), both traded lower at 1.5 and 2.2% respectively.
- Cruise LinesAlso, the stock traded down amid reports about Covid-19 epidemics aboard. Carnival Corporation (NYSE.) (NYSE.:). Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NYSE:), Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (NYSE) traded at 2.3%-2.7% less in the premarket session.
- Globalfoundries Inc (NASDAQ) was 2.4% more traded on the news that Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NASDAQ) had increased its plans to purchase silicon wafers from GFS. For its part, AMD saw a rise of.7%.
- Tesla (NASDAQ) traded 1.3% higher on no news. In the same basket as 2021 staples NVIDIA Corporation(NASDAQ:), and Apple Inc. (NASDAQ) both traded higher, at.4%,.6%, respectively.
- BiondVax Pharmaceuticals Ltd ADR (NASDAQ:) traded down 17% following news about a share offer. This comes after the company has made progress towards the development of its Covid-19 antibody treatments.
- CignaAfter the announcement, shares of (NYSE:) rose.5% disclosedIt would confirm 2021 guidance and 2022 guidance at investor meetings.
- Lazydays Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:) traded down 3.2% following the resignation of its CEO. The company then moved on to an expedited timeline as stated in a press release prior to Christmas.
- Servotronics IncAfter the announcement, (NYSE:) fell.5% resignationFollowing a 6-month probe, which found that “he had committed willful malfeasance that would justify termination”, the company’s CEO was forced to resign.
