Amid Iran’s energy consumption increasing during the winter, local energy authorities have decided to halt operations of authorized cryptocurrency mining centers.

Mostafa Rajabi Masshhadi (chairman of the board, managing director of Iran Grid Management Company Tavanir) announced that Iran will shut down its crypto mining centres to cut liquid fuel use in power plants due to decreasing temperatures.
