Foxconn to restructure management at India iPhone plant -Breaking

BENGALURU (Reuters), – Apple (NASDAQ 🙂 supplier Foxconn Technology Group said Wednesday it would be reorganizing its local management in Sriperumbudur (South India) after discovering issues with its dormitory facilities.

Tamil Nadu’s factory was the center of an incident involving mass food poisoning. This sparked protests by employees and shed light on conditions for workers living in nearby hostels.

A spokesperson for Apple stated that Foxconn’s Sriperumbudur plant had been placed under probation.
