U.S. coronavirus cases hit record high -Breaking

(Reuters.) Reuters has reported that the average daily number of COVID-19 patients in the United States reached a record 258,312 within the past seven days.

On Jan. 8, 2013, the previous seven-day average peak was 250,141.

New York had 40.780 infections, while California reported more than 30,000. Texas has reported over 17,000 infections, while Ohio had 15,000.

According to U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Omicron variation was found to account for 58.6% among the coronavirus variants circulating across the United States at Dec. 25.
