Real World Asset Market goes Live. Uses Aave Protocol and Centrifuge
  • Real World Assets’ (RWA), network now online
  • Real World Asset employs Aave Protocol technology and Centrifuge Technology

Real World Asset, the Centrifuge-based network using Aave Protocol technology goes live. RWA was the first Aave Protocol-based diversified real estate asset market.

The RWA Market will launch with seven pools, and already allows liquidity providers to deposit USDC. This is possible thanks to the Aave Protocol blockchain, which allows people to borrow tokens and deposit collateral. The utilization of this market will affect the interest rates.

Stani Kulechov, Founder & CEO of the Aave Companies explained,

RWA Market is changing the rules of DeFi, not just for protocol Aave protocols but all DeFi Protocols. Creating various entry points into DeFi, making it more accessible, is a driving force of the Aave Companies’ vision, and we are excited to see Centrifuge push this further through the collateralization of real-world assets.

END_Labs is a partner of the RWA Market. It enables businesses to finance their tokenized Real Estate Bridge Loans, Trade Receivables, Cargo & Freight Forwarding Invoices, Branded Inventory Financing, and Revenue Based Financing using crypto. The best part is that it lets users diversify their portfolio using uncorrelated and stable assets

RWA Market marks a significant step in the direction of DeFi for traditional finance. Users of the Aave Protocol, who were previously able only to lend against cryptonative assets, can now get yield against uncorrelated stable real-world collateral.

Centrifuge’s CEO, Lucas Vogelsang stated,

RWA Market is a bridge between the TradFi regulated and trustless worlds of DeFi. Creating an infrastructure to securely onboard RWA that is able to scale has been exciting and we’re proud to see this work pay off.

Centrifuge has been a leader in connecting RWA to DeFi. In April, Centrifuge was the first company to offer RWA collateral as a form of security for Maker. Centrifuge also uses technology from the Aave Protocol to provide additional liquidity to its issuers, allowing them to diversify capital. The RWA Market, on the other side, is boarding both real assets and users to facilitate global access to financing. This bridge creates another link between the TradFi regulated world to the DeFi permissionless world.
