Poland’s 2021 budget deficit to be lower than expected, says ministry -Breaking

WARSAW (Reuters), Poland’s 2021 budget deficit will not exceed 4% gross domestic product (GDP), said the finance ministry on Thursday. That is below the previously estimated 5.3%.

Poland’s economy managed to weather the COVID-19 pandemic more successfully than most regional counterparts and is now strong. According to the Finance Ministry, the deficit is expected to continue falling in the coming years.

We have stable public finances. Piotr patkowski, the Deputy Finance Minister said that revenues from state budgets are increasing.

According to the finance ministry, it will spend 26 billion Zlotys (1% GDP) on debt servicing in 2021. This figure is also 3.3 billion more than last year.
