DeFi Surges By 1,200% in 2021, $240 billion Total Value Locked in DeFi -Breaking

DeFi sector now valued at over $240 billion

1.01.2021: The TVL (TVL) of DeFi was set to 18.71 billion. The industry boomed as more people sought to take advantage of the Decentralized Lending, Borrowing, Derivatives and Insurance services offered by DeFi Protocols.

The TVL for the DeFi sector has grown by over 1,200% in the past year to reach $247 billion.

With $153.82Billion in contributions and 376 DeFi Protocols, he is the initiater of DeFi.

The greatest revelation for 2021 is still to come. Terra, the second largest DeFi chain in the world with $18.2 Billion TVL and only 14 protocols, burst onto the scene during the year.

Binance Smart Chain, which has 252 protocols is third in the world, boasts a TVL worth $16.7 billion.

BSC comes with a TVL $11.89 and $11.48.
