[ad_1]

BEIJING (Reuters), – China is extending preferential income taxes policies for foreigners residing here until December 31, 2023. The announcement was made Friday by the Finance Ministry as part of measures that ease taxpayers’ burden.

China had previously announced that foreigners would no longer be exempted from income taxes on benefits and allowances, such as housing rentals and education.

Recent days have seen the government promise to continue to reduce taxes and fees through 2022 in support of struggling business. China also plans to increase income tax incentives for low- and middle-income people in order to reduce the burden.
