U.S. judge blocks Pentagon from punishing Navy SEALs who refused COVID-19 vaccine-report -Breaking

(Reuters) – On Monday, a federal judge barred the U.S. Department of Defense’s inability to punish a group of Navy SEALs who had refused COVID-19 vaccinations for religious reasons.

U.S. District Court Reed O’Connor issued an interim injunction to stop the Navy and Defense Department from complying with the mandate in response to a suit filed by 35 members of the special forces.

Reed was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as the judge in the 26-page decision.

Reed stated that the Navy has not allowed any religious exemptions to the vaccination rule.

This latest ruling comes after a long string of legal disputes over President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 mandates. These have been highly controversial and contentious among conservatives.
