Xian in China, which is almost two weeks into a lockdown demand that officials implement Covid-19 curbs “strictly, properly”, as the number of new cases among its 13,000,000 residents has started to grow slower.

Xian announced on Monday that 95 cases of domestically transmitted disease were reported in the city. This was slightly more than 95 cases reported a day before. Official data on Tuesday showed 95.

Monday was also the second consecutive day in which Xian has reported fewer than 100 cases locally since Dec. 24,

“We would rather broaden our identification of group at [virus]Liu said that risk is better than overlooking a single individual in an article by the Xian administration on Tuesday.

Liu stated that no one should be left out during the mass testing of key Xian regions. Rural areas should also be monitored for “household doors”, which should ensure compliance with travel restrictions.

People have been prohibited from moving out of their homes unless they are required to by their local authority. Before they are allowed to seek out medical care at the hospitals, all residents must have their negative results verified by staff from the community.

Many people are dependent on delivery services because they cannot shop or go to the shops due to restrictions.

Xian said that it’s possible to loosen the curbs when there is a need for normality.

Xian has a very low number of cases compared with other outbreaks around the globe.

But Beijing is keen to keep a lid on outbreaks ahead of the Winter Olympics in February, and the Communist Party’s once-every-five-years congress expected later in the year.

Xian will intensify efforts to attain “zero communities,” a situation in which all new infections are discovered among those already quarantined, according state TV. Chen Zhijun is an official from Xian’s Disease Control Authority.

Chen stated that this will make it possible for Chen to downgrade the city’s virus curbs.

People who come into contact with cases in areas that are high-infected should move to quarantine centers.

A city official said Monday that the city would correct “weaknesses” in certain services for those living in quarantined areas.

Apart from the 95 cases reported in Xian by Zhejiang Province and Henan Province on Monday, there were also a handful local symptomatic infection reports.

The death toll remained unchanged at 4,636 with no additional deaths.

As of the 31st of January, China had 102841 confirmed symptomatic instances. These included both locally-sourced and imported cases.
