Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The close of Saudi Arabia saw the currency rise by 0.2% to a 1-month peak.

Wafrah for Industry and Development Company, SJSC (SE) were the top performers in the session. They rose 9.97% to trade at 150.00. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE) gained 6.16%, or 11.60 points, to close at 200.00. Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. (SE) was up 5.21 percent or 6.80 to 137.20 late trade.

BANK ALBILD (SE:) was the worst performer of the session, falling 4.20% or 2.10 point to close at 47.90. Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC, (SE) fell 1.75% (or 0.38 points) at 21.30. SABIC AgriNutrients Co(SE:) dropped 1.63% (or 2.80 points) from 168.80.

The Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 128 percent to 73 percent, and ended the day unchanged at 21 percent.

Saudi Research and Marketing Group shares rose to new highs. They gained 6.16%, or 11.60 to 2000.00. At 52 weeks, shares in Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC(SE:) dropped to their lowest level; they lost 1.75% (0.38 to 21.30).

Oil for February delivery rose 0.51%, or 0.39, to $76.47/barrel. Brent oil, which is available for March delivery, rose 0.52 or 0.66% to reach $79.50/barrel, while February Gold Futures contracts rose 0.46%, or 8.35, to trade at $1808.45/ton.

EUR/SAR declined 0.03% from 4.2387 to 3.7571, while USD/SAR gained 0.07% from 3.7571 to 3.7571.

At 96.320, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.11%.
