WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Senate Democrats continue to push the party members who are not in agreement with two pieces of voting right legislation to adopt them. On Tuesday, a group was scheduled to meet Senator Joe Manchin, said Chuck Schumer, Senate Majority Leader.

The Senators continue to meet with Manchin, and Senator Krysten Silena during the holiday break. He said that seven to eight senators will be discussing the various proposals with Manchin. Schumer told CNN that “the bottom line is: They have to allow us pass these crucial pieces of legislation, even though not one Republican joins.”
