Sony teases details of next-gen VR headset -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters). Sony Group Corp (NYSE:) Wednesday’s teaser details about its next-generation VR headset for the PlayStation 5 console was released by Group Corp. The Japanese conglomerate is trying to gain a leading position in this emerging sector, despite growing interest from technology giants.

PlayStation VR2 devices will be equipped with an OLED display and integrated cameras. They can track and give feedback to players via a built in headset motor or the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller.

Sony stated that players will experience a “heightened range of sensations” and did not provide details about pricing, launch dates or visuals.

Sony stated that “Horizon Call of the Mountain”, a “Horizon” game, was specially built for the system.

Sony may be a pioneer of virtual reality but its previous PlayStation VR headset for PlayStation 4 was not successful in generating significant sales.

After Facebook changed its name from Facebook to Meta, it has been a hot topic.

Sony, which has a business that includes movies and chips, announced Wednesday that it would create a company focusing on electric cars as it looks to enter the market.
