Investing.com – Japan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The gained 0.1% to reach a new one-month high at the Tokyo close.

(T) was increased 5.56%, or 42.0 points to finish at 798.0 Nippon Paper Industries Co. Ltd. Late trade saw a 5.07% increase in T:, which was 56.0 points higher than 1161.0.

They were also the session’s worst performers Shionogi & Co., Ltd. T:, which dropped 7.14% (588.0 points) to close at 7644.0 Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. (T) fell 3.61% (or 107.5 points) to close at 2873.0. Z Holdings Corp, (T) was down 3.58% or 24.0 to 646.0.
