GM may be a bit too aggressive in estimating the time it will take to develop personal autonomous vehicles, given recent setbacks. In 2019, Cruise had been expected to launch an autonomous ride-hailing service in San Francisco. However, Cruise has delayed plans and is now awaiting permits to continue testing.
