A former Liverpool and FC Porto football player is about to join Dotmoovs in a new legendary football challenge.

Dotmoovs has gained popularity recently due to its play-to earn applications. These apps allow users to enjoy a near-real life experience as well as in-app rewards.

Dotmoovs is a blockchain-based play-to-earn platform that uses Artificial Intelligence. It allows its users to compete against other people in their favorite sports and the winner gets digital assets. Once the app has been downloaded, users simply need to take a picture of their performance to keep the system in check. The AI referee scores the performance by evaluating rhythm, speed and accuracy as well as diversity and other skills. And the winner of the challenge is the one with the highest score.

In one of the latest efforts to mix together sports and blockchain, they launched a utility-driven NFT Collection – named “The Balls” – to be used in their first sport, the Freestyle Soccer. In fact, these utility NFTs are bringing a whole new gamification to the app where, in order to challenge others, players need to have one of the NFTs available, but they don’t need to necessarily buy them: it will be possible to rent from other players in order to enter specific tournaments or challenges and share the revenue if they win.

Dotmoovs has added unique features and designs to its collections

The project recently introduced the concept of loaning NFTs for skilled players. Only a few people are capable of combining crypto and sports. This means that many of Dotmoovs supporters can’t juggle a ball nor dance Salsa, but are willing to invest in the platform and support some rising stars. On the other hand, many skilled players don’t want to spend the money, nor do they completely understand the crypto world well enough, to buy the required NFTs to play challenges and tournaments.

This idea gives strength to the moto “sharing is caring”, allowing both parties to win – while one plays, the other supports the player by providing the required “ball”.

A special Christmas edition has a brand new ball. It also includes an additional feature, evolution. This ball starts off as a Common, and can go up to the Legendary tier. NFT grows as more players play and win.

This is an interesting novelty. However, evolutionary NFTs may be more common in the future. Dynamic NFTs may be an even greater revolution in this technology.

Notice how data on the blockchain used information from the real world: the player’s performance and victories over other players. Normaly, data between these two worlds is kept separate, but they are now interconnected. These non-fungible tokens could bring about a revolutionary change not just in gaming, but for many other sectors such as education and ticketing.

The project has been gathering some famous players, among them the veteran Ricardo Quaresma, playing now in the Portuguese top professional division and legend Luís Figo, former Real Madrid and Barcelona. And, just this week, another professional player joined the group: João Carlos Teixeira, currently playing in the Eredivisie, the highest level of professional football in the Netherlands, has been announced as the latest addition to the Dotmoovs team.

Teixeira was a former player for Liverpool FC Porto SC Braga. Now, Teixeira is playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam. This app allows users to challenge professional celebrities, beat their scores, and win prizes.

This will also be the first opportunity for users to use the Dotmoovs Renting feature. To beat the professional player, users will have to either own a “Ball (NYSE:)” – read NFT – or borrow one from the marketplace. If they borrow one and beat the challenge, they share the rewards with the owner of the “Ball”.
