Amazon cuts paid Covid leave for workers as CDC guidance shifts

AmazonU.S. Front-line Workers who are positive or quarantined for the virus have their paid time cut.
According to Amazon’s employee notice which CNBC viewed, all U.S. employees who have tested positive for Covid-19 or those in quarantine are now eligible to receive one week of paid vacation.
Amazon spokesmen confirmed that the policy had been changed.
Amazon initially offeredAny employees who are diagnosed with Covid-19 and placed in quarantine can get up to two weeks pay. But, they later reduced their paid leave to ten working days according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
