U.S. FAA details 50 airports that will have 5G buffer zones -Breaking

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – On Friday, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration released a listing of 50 U.S. airfields that will be designated as buffer areas when 5G-C-band wireless carriers begin offering service in January.

AT&T (NYSE:) and Verizon Communications (NYSE: ) agreed Monday to establish buffer zones surrounding 50 airports to limit disruption from interference to altimeters and other sensitive instruments. Averting an aviation safety crisis, they also agreed to defer deployment for two more weeks.

This list contains airports located in New York City and Los Angeles as well as Chicago, Las Vegas (Minneapolis), Minneapolis, Detroit. Dallas. Philadelphia. Seattle.
