Facebook parent’s head of communications leaves company

(Reuters) – John Pinette (head of communications, Facebook’s parent company Meta Platforms Inc) is leaving, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Wall Street Journal cited a message he sent employees.

Pinette said that today would be her last day at Meta. “I know the team will continue to thrive as you do some of the most important—and most difficult—work in Communications.”

It did not include the reasons for his departure.

Meta didn’t immediately reply to Reuters’ request for comment after hours.

According to the company’s blog, Pinette was named vice president for global communications in April 2019.
