On Thursday, Decentralized Finance, also known as DeFi security platform and bug bounty services ImmuneFi released an official report that calculated the loss total in cryptocurrency markets for 2021. The company’s report revealed that hacks, frauds and other malign activities accounted for more than $10.2 billion in losses over the last year.

ImmuneFi is responsible for the protection of over $100 billion of assets in a variety of DeFi protocols including Synthetix and Chainlink. SushiSwap, PancakeSwap and PancakeSwap are just a few examples. They have regularly paid out seven-figure payments to whitehat hackers as well as other entities that help prevent protocol compromises.
