SINGAPORE (Reuters – China’s commerce minister said that on Tuesday, it would continue to impose anti-dumping duties and subsidies on the imports of distillers grain (DDGS) from America during a review.

In statements by the ministry, they stated that the ministry would conduct an expiry review of investigations into the anti-dumping or anti-subsidy actions imposed on DDGS imported from the United States starting January 12. The investigation should conclude before January 12, 2023.

According to the ministry, it received on October 25 an application for an expiry review by China Alcoholic Drinks Association regarding anti-dumping measures in respect of China’s dried corn distiller’s grains industry.

China’s first tariffs on U.S. DDGS was implemented in 2016, at a rate 33.8%. China’s imports of this feed ingredient dropped sharply.

The current anti-dumping duties have been raised to the level of 42.2%-53.7% in January 2017. Anti-subsidy tariffs are now 11.2%-12%, up from 10.0%-10.7%.

According to the ministry, any person interested in the review can submit evidence and suggestions within twenty days.
