Magnitude 6.8 earthquake strikes Alaska

(Reuters) – A magnitude 6.8 earthquake occurred about 71km (44 miles), east of Nikolski in Alaska, early Tuesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The USGS stated that the earthquake’s magnitude was now 6.7, but was actually 22.3km deep.
