Tunisia’s balance of trade deficit widens to 16.2 billion dinars in 2021 -Breaking

TUNIS, Reuters – Tunisia’s deficit in trade has increased to 16.2 billion dinars ($5.65billion) in 2021 compared with a deficit of 12.8billion dinars for 2020. The increase in imports from Turkey and China led to a larger deficit of 12.8billion dinars.

As Tunisia struggles with its economic crisis, the deficit is a major problem.

The imports rose 22.2%, reaching 62.8 billion dinars. While the exports rose 20.5% to reach 46.6 billion dinars
