(Reuters) – American companies are reviewing their back-of-office plans due to increasing uncertainty about the Omicron COVID-19 variation that has sparked an increase in infections at record-breaking levels in the largest economy.

U.S. financial institutions were one of the first banks to allow employees to return home, but increasing cases have forced many major banks into a rethink and to tighten their vaccination mandates.
