Zero-knowledge scaling tech Plonky goes live on Polygon -Breaking

[ad_1]

Polygon (Monday)MATIC), a layer-two (ETHPlonky2, an zero-knowledge scaling platform, was launched by a scaling company known for its speedy transaction times and low gas costs. All layers are correctly calculated on Layer 2. Zero-knowledge algorithms return an exact proof to Ethereum and do not send the whole data. Zero-knowledge eliminates the need for every staker or miner to verify every transaction and instead, allows them to validate simplified rolled up proofs. This significantly speeds up the network.

Polygon reports that recursive zero-knowledgeproofs in 2014 were mostly theoretical. It took them 120 seconds to produce in 2019. This number dropped to 60 seconds in 2020. Plonky2 plans to make it possible to generate such proofs in as little as 0.17 seconds this year. It is claimed to be 100 times faster than the existing alternative networks.
