Japan service sector sentiment slightly improves in Dec as COVID-19 cases kept low -Breaking

TOKYO, Reuters – Japan’s sentiment index for the service sector rose 0.1 points to 56.4 in Dec, a Cabinet Office survey revealed on Wednesday. Domestic COVID-19 case numbers remained low throughout the month despite concern about the Omicron variant.

This was the fourth consecutive month of growth.

Based on the November survey, 56.3 was recorded by taxi drivers and other hotel employees.
